Our new addition!

OREO

This is what we brought home from our Family Reunion! She had been left out in a field so we brought her home. I took her to the vet yesterday and he guesses she is only about 4 weeks old right now! I say "she" loosely as the vet thinks it is boy but still to early to tell for sure. She is a lot of fun. She is learning to pounce and loves our feet! Unbelievably she is already using her litter box! Thank goodness.

After years of wanting a house and many bumps in the road, we finally did it! It is so nice that the girls can go out and play in the backyard. They are loving it and so are we!

TALENT SHOW!

Olivia decided she wanted to be in the school talent show. She didn't even tell us until after she had tried out for the show and was told she could perform. We are all proud of her for her peformance and for being brave enough to get up in front of the whole school all by herself. Here is her performance. GO LIVY!!!

Bri and Livy always want to play in the snow! Here they are playing with the neighbors and building a snowman. Thank goodness for Daddy helping! (Mom hates the cold!)

We finally got Bri's hair cut short today. She's wanted it cut for a long time! We also got it relaxed (they had to run out and get another relaxing kit because she had soooo much hair)! It took three hours to do and then they used a flat iron to straighten it. It will stay straight for a couple of days and then it will still be curly just not as curly as it was. My baby is growing up! She is definitely excited to start doing her own hair and now I think she will be able to!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We have had a good year! It's been full of good times, hard times, family, friends, discovery and much more.

Bri is already in the third grade and at the top of her class. She likes reading and being with her friends. She likes making everyone laugh! BRI ROCKS!! -bri

Olivia is in the first grade and also at the top of her class. She likes playing with her friends at school. She also likes helping her friends learn and she is an awesome reader. She writes stories in her free time at home for all of us to enjoy!

One of the highlights of our year was our first family vacation. We went to New York and spent a lot of time with family and friends while we were there. Then we spent a couple of days in Manhattan, my favorite place in the world. We saw the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Central Park and much more. I think the girls favorite were the hot dogs on EVERY corner.

Our wish for the New Year goes out to everyone....Good Health, Good Fortune and lots of Fun!

Bri - "I liked Times Square because of all the lights and I liked the hot dogs the most!"'

Olivia - "I liked the Broadway show (The Fantasticks) and M&M World. And the Pizza!"

Waiting for the train!

THE STATUE OF LIBERTY

We decided to ride the Staten Island Ferry to view the Statue of Liberty. The Ferry is less crowded, gives you a great view, and even some rest time! These are just a couple of my favorite shots!

Here we are in Central Park. One of my favorite places! It never ceases to amaze me that this beautiful, green place is in the middle of the Big Apple!

Our first day we got to go see the Dows. How exciting to see how grown up Parker and Anna are. Bri and Livi hung out with Anna the whole time we were there. Of course they didn't want to leave.
The next evening we got to see my best friend Kelly and her two boys Damian and Derek. Bri and Damian played WII and had a great time. We definitely didn't have enough time.
We went to dinner the next night at Uncle Jackie and Aunt Meri's (I hope I spelled that right). A lot of the family was there. Donald, Mary and Rashida. Grandma Jean and AJ. It was a great evening of food, chit chat and the girls finally got see Lightning bugs!
The next day was the big wedding! Meghan and Scott got married in a beautiful church right in downtown Manhattan. (It was the same church Meghan's grandmother was married in.) She had a very nice dinner and reception at a night club also in Manhattan. Congratulations Meghan! We love you and wish you the best always.
We also had the opportunity to go to Justin and Brandon's Championship Baseball Game. They Won too!!!

Family Vacation

We finally had the opportunity to take our first family vacation to New York!!
We knew we were in for a good time, especially when we picked up our rental car at JFK. It was comfortable and roomy but......BURNT ORANGE?! At least it was easy to spot in every parking lot we used. Olivia even informed us the first night, "Look, you can even see it in the dark!" Bri called it our "Clown Car!"
